All About ME!

All About Margie ...

I am very happily married to a wonderful man. We have been married since 2006. We have two kids ... our teenage daughter and our son in elementary school. They are both so much fun. I am a stay at home Mom (since August 2007) and I couldn't be happier to be able to be at home with my kids. Although I am thinking that with the start of the new school year, I may see about something part time while my kids are in school. Maybe something at one of the craft stores so that I can get a discount! LOL!

I am also a supporter of Autism Awareness. My daughter has autism and is in a special program now that she is out of high school that teaches her job skills and life skills. I think it is very important for people to learn more about autism. It is a disorder NOT a disease. People with this disorder need all the support that we can give them! So please become a supporter of Autism Awareness! :) 

I have lots of hobbies. I cross stitch (as you can see), sew, crochet, scrap book, paint plaster crafts, a little woodworking, and a few other miscellaneous crafts. I also have an up and coming business where I design and make aprons and holiday stockings, and occasionally simple quilt type blankets, placemat sets, and other miscellaneous items called Forever Treasured Keepsakes. These items that I make are definitely not what you expect when you think of them. Most of the holiday stockings are not your typical red/green and most of the aprons are not something you'd see most grandmas wearing! I've added a tab here to my blog so that you can check out some of the items that I have made. I have also started making needleminders and a jewelry items with bottle caps! It's a lot of fun and you can find it on Facebook under Crafting with Bottle Caps!
